Have you made a visit to relatives and friends in a retirement community? I find proof that life is what you make it every time I visit. There are women (and men) who still find a zest for life and look forward to today’s bingo or tomorrow’s bus outing to a local museum. They enjoy having meals with new found friends and laugh at memories from years gone by. What a joy to see these women and know that there will always be something to learn. Half way through November, the days are getting shorter and in Cleveland, the skies are becoming grayer and we can be on auto pilot. We will be busy with the holidays over the next six weeks, and then awake to a new year providing time for us to once again notice the gray skies and dreary weather. Be like the ladies who play bingo. Take some time today to step outside, get some air, smell the fallen leaves, and remind yourself of who you are and where you want to be. Don’t let the weather stop you. Learn something new every day. This is a great time to reflect and keep stretching forward.
