We are having a true winter this year here in Northeast Ohio. Last year there wasn’t one day below freezing. This year we have had weeks of below freezing and even several days in single digits allowing the snow to linger. I find that when there is snow on the ground, the daylight is brighter. I may be in the minority, but it is nice to have winter weather to celebrate this year. Time for soup and chili, hot chocolate, and warm tea, crunchy walks, fires in the fireplace, and cozy throws to keep us warm. Every season has something special to share with us. Sometimes, you have to look, but other times it is right in front of your face. A friend called today and said she had stopped by Lake Erie and found it sparkling in the sunshine. I decided to drive up to see it for myself. By the time I arrived, the sun was behind some clouds so not as much sparkle, but lots of serenity. Perfect for today. We enjoy the ice and snow now on the lake as it begins to melt in warmer temperatures. Before we know it there will be children skipping stones and jumping the waves. Where can you look today to find beauty in your world? Will it be there next week or will it have changed by then? You don’t want to miss it. Remember we are as unfinished as the shoreline, always changing so keep stretching forward.
I have added flyers to the homepage of this website for the 2025 retreats. More details may be found on the Upcoming Retreat page. The first one will be in Bay Village for one day, across the street from Lake Erie. As always, feel free to contact me for any questions you might have.
